It’s Thanksgiving Day, and I’m taking a moment to reflect on all I’m grateful for—including YOU, the Travel on Purpose community. When I started this small business, my dream was to spark curiosity about diverse cultures around the world, connect you with inspiring changemakers, and encourage generosity. Together, we’ve made that vision a reality through meaningful travel experiences and our Travel on Purpose Book Club.
In early 2024, the Travel on Purpose Book Club went on a field trip to Los Angeles to visit Homeboy Industries.
Our November Morocco Women's tour spent a day at Amal Non-profit, a culinary training program equipping marginalized women.
Four years in, I’m amazed by everything we’ve accomplished together! Over the past year, we’ve collectively given over $12,000 to charity; over the last four years, that total is over $23,000. And that’s just what I know about—many of you continue to support the non-profits and social impact businesses we’ve introduced you to through your own charitable giving and purposeful shopping.
You might be wondering how that works. Did you know that every Travel on Purpose trip includes a built-in donation to the non-profits we spend time with? This donation is already factored into the cost of the tour. Similarly, the Travel on Purpose Book Club runs on a membership model, with 70% of the membership fees allocated to support our featured do-good partner each quarter.
In June, our East Africa tour included time at the Kibaale Community Centre where we learned how their sustainable coffee farm is helping to support the medical clinic.
As the giving season begins, I want to highlight some of the amazing organizations we’ve partnered with through our trips and book club this year. These nonprofits and social impact businesses are doing transformative work, and if you’re looking for meaningful ways to give this Giving Tuesday or during the holidays, I wholeheartedly recommend them. They’ve earned our trust through their impact, stewardship, and dedication to making the world a better place.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re making a difference—one trip, one book, and one act of generosity at a time.
