There’s a rhythm in southern France that invites you to slow down — to breathe deeply, linger longer, and notice the quiet beauty all around you.
That’s exactly what our recent travelers
on the French Way experienced:
a sacred pause in the midst of busy lives,
set against the backdrop of rolling hills,
ancient abbeys, golden fields, and centuries-old trails.

Led by Jenny Cattaneo and Megan Ziegler, this journey was part pilgrimage, part creative retreat, and part shared adventure — a dream that was years in the making. Each day was rich with beauty and meaning as the women walked portions of the Chemin de Saint Jacques, explored charming medieval villages, wandered through vineyards, and rested in the peaceful embrace of monastic life.

The group stayed in a serene abbey, where mornings began with the sound of bells and evenings closed with the chant of vespers. In between, they hiked under sun-dappled trees, laughed their way through unexpected detours, and shared meals that nourished body and soul.

One day brought art-making in the countryside; another, wine tasting with local vintners. Markets overflowed with color, trails stretched wide before them, and nearly every moment held some small delight — a hidden garden, a surprising conversation, a shared story.

But the true beauty of this journey was found in the community they built together. A group of women who arrived as strangers left as sisters, connected by deep conversations, shared challenges, and sacred laughter. They celebrated the joy of being present to God, to nature, to one another, and themselves.

This was not a whirlwind tour. It was a slow unfolding. A reminder that travel can be purposeful, prayerful, and deeply restorative. A journey not just across a landscape, but into a quieter, fuller way of living.
And in that sacred slowness, they experienced: there is no rush.

Read what this year's travelers had to say about their experience:
"The French Way tour was everything I hoped for and more. Exploring the quaint and picturesque South of France while walking the Camino alongside a group of wonderful women was truly magical—an experience I will always treasure."
"Well organized and meaningful travel specialized for women who enjoy the exploration of culture, travel, shared experiences meanwhile cultivating beautiful friendships along the way!"
"Walking in the beautiful French countryside and through small towns surrounded by flowers, rustic stone buildings, and smells of lavender and jasmine was a delight, and the French cuisine was an added bonus. The trip included adequate time for relaxation and reflection and plenty to see and do for those with FOMO like me."
"Our trip to France had it all, beautiful countryside, amazing food, incredible art, and the spiritual experience of walking segments of the Camino while staying in a peaceful monastery. Top it off with sharing it all with a wonderful group of women and you’ve got the perfect travel adventure."
